The Snus & Nicotine Pouch Users Alliance was founded in 2018 by Mark Oates, a harm reduction advocate and snus user, alongside fellow users.

Many adults who have moved away from smoking want smoke-free oral nicotine products to be understood more accurately. SNPUA exists so their experiences are not missing from policy conversations.
We stand up for the rights of adults to be heard, to access clear information, and to take part in debates about safer nicotine policy.
